About us

Many people would like to donate to charity in their will, but they think every pound they donate will be a pound less for their children or other beneficiaries. This is not necessarily the case.

You can make a significant donation to charity in your will… WITHOUT this having a major impact on what you leave for your children, your relatives or your other beneficiaries.

The GOOD GIVE is a not-for-profit campaign designed to promote this opportunity and to help channel much needed funds into charitable good causes.

Tony Lesser

“I see the GOOD GIVE as a fantastic opportunity for everybody whose estate may be liable to pay Inheritance Tax. It enables them to create something truly special. It could channel hundreds of millions of pounds into charitable good causes if more people understood it and were encouraged to make use of it. What my clients really loved about this was that they got to choose which charities benefit, allowing them to give something back in a way they never thought possible. And crucially, it didn’t affect them financially during their lifetimes.”

Our beginnings

The idea of promoting the GOOD GIVE came to Tony Lesser in his role as a senior financial planner.

Tony retired in 2022, aged 60, having run the financial planning team for a Top 50 accountancy practice in London. He worked mainly with private clients, for many of whom Inheritance Tax was an important consideration.

Many of his clients made charitable donations and took positively to the mutually beneficial idea of helping a charity AND reducing their personal Inheritance Tax rate.

Tony is being supported by John Underwood. John is a former journalist and communications consultant. He specialises in helping organisations and individuals to communicate complex ideas in a user-friendly manner.

“I have known Tony for many years and when he told me how the GOOD GIVE works I could immediately see the possibilities,” said John. “Why am I working on this with Tony?  It’s simple really. This might be the most important thing I ever do.”
